Pueblo viejo de Belchite, ya no te rondan zagales, ya no se oiran las jotas que cantaban nuestros padres...

















In 1937, during the Spanish Civil War, the Spanish Republican and rebel General Franco's force fought the Battle of Belchite in and around the town. After the war, a new village was built adjacent to the ruins of the old one, which remain a ghost town as a memorial to the war.

Sometimes, peace comes at a high price...
